What Is Global Warming And Its Causes

Global Warming Powerpoint
It’s easy to be confused about any of the many evidences behind global warming because people can’t see the forest for the trees. Here we step back and see what those trees look like in the forest. Science fiction has a lot of resources to investigate and debunk all the climate myths with solid evidence, so let’s use these pieces to see how they add to the big picture.
We know that our planet is warming from surface temperature stations and satellites that measure the temperature of the Earth’s surface and lower atmosphere. We also have a variety of instruments to measure global ocean warming. Satellites have measured the instability of the Earth’s upper atmosphere. Glaciers, sea ice and ice sheets are all retreating. Sea levels are rising. Spring comes early every year. There is no doubt – the world is warming. Everything about the temperature is increasing. Everything related to snow and ice is on the decline. As the species descends vertically, they decrease in height (Figure 1).
Yes, the heating is still on. The 2000s were warmer than the 1990s, and the 1980s were warmer than the 1970s. 2016 was the warmest year on record, along with all other years (Figure 2). Temperature datasets are ideal for this problem. Sea levels are rising, glaciers are receding, spring is coming early, and global energy uncertainty is continuing.
Contrary to what the atheists would have us believe, and it has been proven more than once, the world has not stopped warming. Detractors confuse short-term climate change with long-term global warming (Figure 3).

Foster and Rahmstorf (2011) showed that the short-term nature of volcanoes and the El Niño cycle can be analyzed and the phenomena of human-induced global warming become clearer (Figure 4).

Although these effects are a source of climate change, post-ENSO maps show El Nino (warm) and La Nina (warm) years, as well as non-ENSO years (Figure 5 ), all heating. per above:

Despite the increase in the temperature of the atmosphere, the amount of energy absorbed by the world is quite impressive when looking at the depth of the oceans and the temperature variations of the Earth’s surface (Figure 6).

More than 90% of global warming is used to warm the oceans. Taking into account the warming of the entire climate system, in the past 15 years our planet has warmed at a rate equivalent to the detonation of an atomic bomb on Hiroshima 4 times per second (Figure 7 ).
Do We Need To Take Global Warming Seriously?
) – has increased over the past 150 years. There is growing evidence that clearly links this increase to human activity, particularly the burning of fossil fuels.
Don’t just walk away. Half of this remains in the atmosphere and the other half enters the oceans (another major problem is ocean acidification).
Because of the nature of carbon in the atmosphere, we know that the growth of the atmosphere came from the burning of fossil fuels. There are three different types of carbon, and plants prefer lighter carbon. 12. Everything that eats plants, or everything that eats plants, acquires the characteristics of carbon dioxide. The ancient world has many tons of geological deposits, namely fossil fuels. We know that carbon-12 is increasing in the atmosphere, due to the burning of fossil fuels.
There is overwhelming evidence that humans are the major cause of recent global warming through greenhouse gas emissions. Based on basic physics and mathematics, we can calculate the amount of warming caused by human activity and prove that we are responsible for global warming in the last 30 years. . Foster and Rahmstorf (2011), cited above, found a warming of 0.16°C per decade since 1979 after analyzing temporal noise.

In fact, we expect more anthropogenic greenhouse gas warming than we’ve seen in the past due to the thermal instability of the oceans (time to warm). Human aerosol emissions contribute to global warming and global warming. Huber and Knutty (2011) found that greenhouse gas emissions account for 66% more global warming than has been observed since the 1950s, because human aerosol warming is 44% of cooling. Figure 8 shows an approximation (in IPCC AR6) of the units of the general temperature factor.

We have seen several “fingerprints” for the increase in the greenhouse effect (warmer at night, higher latitudes, upper atmosphere warming, etc.) (Figure 9).
Climate models show global warming with great accuracy, showing that we have a good understanding of the physics of climate change.
What Is Global Warming? Definitions, Causes, And Effects
People sometimes ask, “What makes the theory of human-caused global warming falsifiable?” ask. This is because our basic understanding of physics must be wrong because this concept is based on it. This basic physics has been studied by scientific experiments for decades to centuries.
We know that if we continue to emit large amounts of greenhouse gases, our planet will continue to warm. We know that atmospheric CO sensitivity doubles
2-4.5°C warming from pre-industrial levels of 280 ppmv to 560 ppmv (we are at 420 ppmv by early 2023). If we continue with past emissions, we will reach 560 ppmv by the mid to late 21st century.
Still unclear: 2–4.5°C range of possible values. However, as lucky as we were, the climate sensitivity was only 2°C when the CO concentration doubled.
How Much Would It Cost To End Climate Change? Get The Facts
, which promises significant warming (more than 2°C above pre-industrial levels) in the next 75 years if we continue on our emissions path current.
Warming up will have a positive effect. For example, the opening of the Northwest, improving the growth of certain plants, improving agriculture in high latitudes (although more fertilizers are needed) and so on. However, the cons far outweigh the pros. We are talking about low biodiversity, lack of water, an increase in heat waves (in terms of frequency and intensity), a decrease in productivity due to these effects, broken structures, the displacement of millions people, etc. (Figure 10).

If there’s one theme we’ve found in studying political opposition to climate science, it’s that it’s often superficial. For example, criticism of James Hansen’s predictions of global warming since 1988 does not go beyond the words “he was wrong”, but it is important to evaluate and learn from those predictions and their consequences, that is, what will happen. Also, those who argue that it is “the sun” forget to understand that the sun understands the main processes that affect the Earth’s climate and is still studying and monitoring it. We know
