God Is Our Very Present Help – I decided to occasionally write down thoughts that God revealed to me during my personal Bible study. This week I have been thinking about Psalm 2:46. “God is our refuge and strength, a constant help in trouble.” I think as Christians we understand this deeply, but it’s hard to really understand it with our heart and soul.

We know that God is behind us and gives us strength, and we know that we can turn to Him in times of trouble. However, I am not sure that we really believe that this is an immediate help. We know that everything will be all right in the end when Christ returns, but do we trust Him to be a helper? Not just instant help, but very real help? If we really believed that, I think we would worry less and stress less. So what prevents us from experiencing God’s help right now?

I think it may have something to do with our ability to submit to Him. We like to be in control and know what’s going to happen next. If we know, we can prepare for something bad to happen or take comfort in the knowledge that it will work out. Correct? But God does not help us on the way… He does not tell us what will come and what will happen next. So we may not experience God’s present help because we have not yielded to His ways of helping us.

God Is Our Refuge And Strength A Very Present Help In Trouble

“This is God, his ways are perfect, the word of the Lord has been fulfilled, he is a shield to all who take refuge in him.” Psalm 18:30

This passage shows that God wants us to run to Him. We go to him. As Hebrews 4:16 says, He wants us to “draw near” with confidence. “Let us therefore come with confidence to the throne of grace, that we may find mercy and grace to help in need.” So God’s help may not always solve our problems, but

God is not here for my comfort or for my easy and happy life. God is for God and His glory. He is celebrated because he creates, loves, saves, is kind, forgiving, patient, redeems and restores. God is doing great things and He wants us to join Him. It tries to change and shape us in good and bad situations. He wants us to be a part of helping the broken and saving the lost. No one promises us an easy, happy and trouble-free life. But God promises us immediate help when we find ourselves in trouble. You may not feel it, but it’s there. The Bible is very clear on this. It doesn’t mean you will feel any different because God is an instant help, or that God will take away your problems… it just means that He is an instant help in the midst of problems.

Therefore draw near (Hebrews 4:16). To see the beauty of God (Psalm 2:40, 2 Corinthians 3:18). Remind yourself of His truth (2 Peter 1). Think about how much he loves you (Psalm 139, Ephesians 1). Worship God, know that he is near, tell him everything, surrender to him and he will give you peace (Philippians 4:4-7).

God Is Our Refuge And Strength, A Very Present Help In Trouble.” — Psalm 46:1

On the first day of the week, early in the morning, women came to the grave with prepared perfumes. They found that the stone had been rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. Just as they were wondering, suddenly two men were standing next to them, carrying beams of light like lightning. The women were frightened and fell on their faces, but the men said to them, “Why are you looking for the living among the dead? He’s not here, he’s alive! Luke 24:1-6 Praise God Almighty. He sent us his only begotten Son to have eternal life, he lives, he rose from the dead, he conquered death and now he sits at the right hand of God.

Therefore, when we are surrounded by so many witnesses, let us put aside everything that hinders us, let us put aside the sin that easily ensnares us. Let us run with endurance the race that lies before us, keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. Hebrews 12:1-2 Blessed Lord, I thank you for the hope you have given me in your son Jesus, for your love, for your promises and above all for the gift of salvation. God, I bring you all my fears, disappointments, worries of this life and I ask you to help me remember that this life is but a moment compared to the eternity you have promised. Please help me not to fix my eyes on Jesus, help me to walk faithfully and steadfastly on the path you set for me and leave every sin in my life, I pray in your holy name. Amen

I thank God that he is good, that his love endures forever. Give thanks to the God of gods, for his mercy endures forever. Give thanks to the Lord, whose mercy endures forever. Psalm 136:1-3 I will praise you in the assembly, I will praise you in the multitude. Psalm 35:18 I thank you for answering me and becoming my salvation. Psalms 118:21 I will praise God’s name with songs and praise him with praise. Psalm 69:30 I thank you, God, for all your wonderful blessings. Father, thank you for all your answered and unanswered prayers. I know that everything is in your hands, I know that you love me and want the best for me. Thank you for giving your life as sin for me and thank you for never giving up on me. Dear God, thank you for forgiving all my sins and for telling me that no matter where you are or what you are doing, even your shadow will disappear when it gets dark. David wrote in Psalm 1:46,

In an ever-changing world full of dark times and uncertainty, what a privilege it is to receive timely help.

Spurgeon wrote that God “is tried and proven by his people. He never leaves his sufferings. He is their helper, real, effective, and constant, present or near them, by their side, and ready to help them.” The point the word emphasizes

In our version, he is more present than a friend or relative, yes, even closer to presenting the problem itself. “

Do we believe this to be true? If so, why don’t we live what we believe? Luther believed it and lived by it. He wrote a powerful hymn from Psalm 46: “Our God is a strong fortress.” “Though this devil-filled world threatens to destroy us, we will not be afraid, for God wants His truth to triumph through us…”

It is hard to see how His truth will prevail over us when the waters of the earth roar and tremble as they do now. It takes a lot of courage to stay afloat, but we can’t do it alone. Anyone can step out of the boat as boldly as Peter, but staying afloat requires a lot of faith and absolute confidence, always looking to Christ. Only He can lead us to the rock and give us a solid foundation to stand on.

When we can call upon God as our rock, fortress, and savior, we have no fear. (Psalm 18) Hope
